Lawrence M. Gordon is a partner in our family law, custody, matrimonial, and divorce law firm and was born in Albany, New York on June 2, 1941. Mr. Gordon graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. degree in 1963, and from Syracuse University Law School with a LL.B. degree in 1966 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1968. A leading family law, custody, and divorce attorney in the Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga region and Upstate New York, he is admitted to the New York Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Mr. Gordon is a member of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section, and a member of the Schenectady County Bar Association where he was formerly co-chair of the matrimonial committee and currently serves on the grievance committee. Mr. Gordon served on the Board of Directors for the Schenectady Jewish Community Center where he previously held the offices of assistant treasurer, treasurer, and vice-president. Mr. Gordon was a member of the panel of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association, and has lectured on matrimonial and family law for various community and professional organizations throughout the region.
