While earning his bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of North Texas, Joe spent a summer working as a revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service. During law school, Joe interned with the Honorable Priscilla R. Owen, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Joe also interned with the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas, Waco division. After law school, Joe completed a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Terry R. Means, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas. During this clerkship, Joe worked in all areas of the federal practice, including business litigation, bankruptcy, employment law, civil rights actions, and criminal matters. Since joining Naman Howell, Joe has continued to practice in several areas of civil litigation, including business litigation, employment law, and tax matters. Joe has also served as an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law.
