John H. Goodrich, Jr. has been practicing with Gordon, Muir and Foley, LLP since 1970.
John is primarily responsible for the firm's individual practice group, with emphasis on estate planning and administration, elder law and other probate matters including probate litigation. A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, John works closely with families in contingency planning for the protection of spouses, children and dependents using wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills and heath care powers of attorney.
He oversees the residential real estate practice of the firm, representing buyers, sellers and lenders. Due to his broad experience in his practice areas, John effectively crafts solutions to even the most difficult title or financing issues.
John was the President of the University of Massachusetts Alumni Association from 1999 to 2002. He was the Chairman of the Marlborough Board of Assessment Appeals from 1992 to 2003. He has been active in both firm management and Bar Association Legal Management committees.
John is currently on medical leave from the firm but is consulting with the firm on a regular basis regarding client matters.
