Nathan Riggs is a Shelbyville, Kentucky native who enjoys being able to practice law in his home community
The son of Sherman Riggs, another lawyer in the firm, he decided to become an attorney because he enjoyed the idea of helping others. Says Nathan about his profession:
"The law is the ultimate service oriented job. Every court appearance requires you to stand in the shoes of your client and try to find the best result you could possibly find."
Nathan greatly enjoys his field of work and takes pride in his ability to achieve the best for his clients. He finds great joy in feeling like he has achieved some good for his clients. His court appearances give him the opportunity to work out the most favorable results for them.
He also enjoys politics in general, because the two fields work hand in hand. Nathan is on the Shelbyville City Council and is currently running for the position of Shelby County Attorney. He has served on four subcommittees for the city (finance, public works, fine and code enforcement).
He is a member of the E911 Board, and the Dorman Center Board of Directors. He has previously served on a review board for Wright Elementary. Nathan is very active in the Young Democrats of Shelby County, having set up both high school and adult chapters for the organization.
In his spare time he enjoys reading mysteries and watching television.
Nathan is a proud graduate of Shelby County High School, Bellarmine College, and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He holds a Bachelor's degree in history from Bellarmine.
