John Goldstein attended Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design. After applying his undergraduate degree to a career in product development, he earned a Master's degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in finance and marketing, from the University of San Francisco. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco in 1998.
Mr. Goldstein's current practice areas at Brayton Purcell are asbestos and toxic torts, personal injury and products liability. Along with his duties as an associate, he is a trial attorney and a case manager, handling exigent health cases.
Prior to coming to Brayton Purcell, Mr. Goldstein practiced in the areas of product licensing and legal malpractice. He also worked in product development and management in the electronic controls and automation industry, and in the filtration equipment industry.
Mr. Goldstein is licensed to practice law in California and is an active member of the State Bar of California. He is a member of Public Justice, American Association Justice, and the property and probate section of the American Bar Association.
