After practicing law for over 40 years, one would think that Paul has seen it all. However, he is quick to point out that the law is ever changing with constant new challenges.

Paul has been involved in real estate, business, banking and litigation matters since his early years of practice. He learned the practical side of real estate by starting out as a licensed real estate broker. He has gone on to become a certified real estate law specialist and has been named as one of the top 100 real estate super lawyers by Law and Politics magazine.

One telling factor about Paul's style of practice is the number of years that he has represented the same clients. Often planning the start up of the business, consulting and handling various legal matters through the years and helping to guide the principals through sale and retirement. He constantly looks for practical solutions that have the client's best interests at heart. Often, a well-planned strategy, or well worded document, can result in the avoidance of lawsuits and other legal issues.

Paul is well respected throughout the legal community as a person well prepared, in both negotiations and litigation, extremely devoted to his clients and as a person who's word is always his bond. He is admitted to the Minnesota and U.S. Federal Courts, is a Minnesota Bar Association member, has been active in many community and civic projects and is active in the management of Anderson Dove Fretland & Van valkenburg, P.L.L.P. Paul graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota Law School where he was a member of the Dean's List throughout his years in school.
