Richards, Linda J

I am President of the Jefferson Inn of Court, a group of Lake County Lawyers and Judges dedicated to professionalism and ethics, and a member of the Lake County Bar Association’s Family Law Committee. I received awards in 2004 and 2012 from the Lake County Bar Association for my participation in the Volunteer Lawyers Program and for providing pro bono legal services for people in need in the community, and have also has supported legal representation for the indigent as a Co-Chair of the Campaign for Legal Services for Prairie State Legal Services. I am a member of the Illinois Bar Association, and a member of the Federal Trial Bar. I am also a certified arbitrator for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, and have been certified for appointment as a Guardian Ad Litem and child representative in child custody disputes.

Community Involvement
In addition to membership in many other community organizations over the years, I currently serve the Moraine Township Government as an elected Trustee. I am also the Ethics Advisor for the Township Government, and its liaison to the Human Rights Commission of the City of Highland Park and the Latino Advisory Committee.
