Carla Schiff Donnelly joined the Gentile, Horoho & Avalli, P.C., as an associate in 2013 where she focuses her practice on divorce litigation and a wide variety of family law matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Carla practiced family law for 11 years at Stern and Edlin, P.C., a leading domestic relations firm in Atlanta, Georgia, where she handled all aspects of divorce and post-divorce cases with a concentration on high asset financial and complex custody issues. She also specialized in preparing and negotiating prenuptial agreements.
Carla previously served as a law clerk to Chief Judge G. Alan Blackburn of the Georgia Court of Appeals and as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals.
She holds a bachelor of arts from Lehigh University and her law degree from Emory University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in both Georgia and Pennsylvania. Carla was named a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers and one of “Georgia’s Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine and selected for inclusion into the 2013 Edition of the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers. She was also a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia and served on the board of the Visions Anew Institute, a nonprofit organization in the Atlanta area whose mission is to assist individual through the divorce process with information, integrity, and dignity.
She has authored several family law blog articles and is a frequent presenter at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars on a variety of family law topics.
