Prior to joining Jones Day, Jim was IP counsel for a major fabless semiconductor company focusing on storage and communications technology and also an associate at McDermott, Will & Emery's Silicon Valley office, where his practice focused on patent litigation in the fields of computer software and hardware, communications technology, power electronics, and other matters that were electrical-engineering in nature. In addition, Jim has practiced as a patent prosecution associate focusing on the software and electrical engineering disciplines.
