I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Mobile, Alabama and graduated from High School in 1983. I went to Auburn, University and played football, until an injury at which time I decided to move to Houston, Texas to work. After working for a couple of years, I decided to join the United States Marine Corps in 1987. I was trained as a logistics embarkation specialist but also crossed trained into working on Helicopters when I was assigned to the HMH-463 Squadron in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Shortly after the Persian Gulf War, I was honorably discharged from the Marines and went to School. I earned my BA in Psychology as well as my BSN in Nursing. I worked as a critical care Registered Nurse for several years. As a critical care nurse, I worked in primarily with patients in acute distress and needing immediate care. In fact, I worked for several years in a Level One Trauma Center Emergency Room. I enjoyed working in Emergency Rooms because you had to be well trained in all areas of medicine. I eventually, went back to school and in 2005 I earned my law degree from St. Mary's University. Since being licensed in 2005, I have focused my practice on helping clients just as I did for years in the Emergency Room. Most clients come to my office in distress and need my services to provide some stability in their professional and personal life. I specialize in various types of law which seems to suit me, perhaps it is because of my medical background but I like having a diverse practice.
