Mr. Read’s practice focuses on complex business and financial disputes, with a particular emphasis on securities, financial fraud, fiduciary duty, and corporate control litigation. He has also handled a significant number of employment, consumer products, and trademark matters for financial services, food production, and retail clients, among others. Mr. Read is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who has advocated for clients in federal and state courts, arbitration forums, and regulatory proceedings. In addition, Mr. Read has extensive experience in white-collar criminal and enforcement matters, as well as internal investigations conducted on behalf of corporations and special committees.
Mr. Read is a magna cum laude graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and a Florence Allen Scholar. Before joining the Firm, he practiced at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in New York City. Mr. Read serves as the chairman of the board of Accinosco, a Brooklyn-based theatre company.
