Amy Dias handles complex employment litigation for employers in administrative, state, and federal court employment actions. She has extensive experience in a broad range of single plaintiff and class action cases, including those arising from alleged discrimination, retaliation, harassment, employment practices, and ERISA, as well those alleging violations of the FLSA, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, Title VII, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act. With her understanding of issues concerning employment practices, Amy also routinely counsels clients and lectures on corporate conduct, hiring practices, reductions in force, sexual harassment, noncompete agreements, and investigations/disciplinary actions.
Amy is an experienced lead trial counsel and practices in state, federal, and appellate courts throughout the United States. She has tried numerous cases to verdict and has successfully defeated class certification and/or obtained dismissal of many multiplaintiff and class actions throughout the country. Amy has been recognized multiple times as a leading labor and employment lawyer in Pennsylvania by Chambers USA.
Amy is author of "Recent Developments in Sexual Harassment Law Post Ellerth and Farragher" and "Courts Extend New Sexual Harassment Standards to Racial and National Origin Harassment Claims," which were published in The Jones Day Quarterly and the Pittsburgh Labor & Employment Quarterly in 1999.
