Jordan Rappaport has been representing debtors, creditors and businesses for over 10 years. He is highly experienced in representing both debtors and creditors in objections to exemptions, §523, §727 and fraudulent transfer complaints and is fully familiar with all types of contested hearings, motions and trials in the bankruptcy field. He handles all types of bankruptcy proceedings including Chapters 7, 11 and 13, both consumer and business. He also handles appeals to both the District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Jordan has been very successful in utilizing Chapter 13 bankruptcies to save homes from foreclosure as well as solving difficult and complicated financial issues in a manner not easily accomplished by other forms of bankruptcies. Even among regular practitioners of bankruptcy, this has enabled him to succeed where many others cannot.
Jordan works with his father, Kenneth Rappaport, who has been practicing law in Boca Raton since 1971. Kenneth is Board Certified in both Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. Kenneth has been lead counsel on various reported cases. He is also a certified bankruptcy mediator and is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell.
