Mr. Rath graduated from Canisus College in Buffalo, New York, before serving as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. Following his tenure in the Navy, he then attended Brooklyn Law School, graduating in 1994, having focused on criminal law, including two internships in the United States Attorney's Office.
As a former felony DWI prosecutor, Mr. Rath as successfully prosecuted and defended several hundred drinking and driving cases. As such, he is in the unique position to look at each of his cases with the eyes of a prosecutor in order to more efficiently defend our clients. Mr. Rath has been a guest lecturer at The State University of New York in Canton and served as a volunteer advisor for Law Explorers, a program that introduces high school students to the legal profession. His trial competition teams have been highly successful, with each of his teams winning awards. Mr. Rath is certified operator of the BAC DataMaster.
