Having a diverse background is one of the reasons Mr. Geller can negotiate and argue cases so effectively. A native of southern California, Mr. Geller displayed his leadership skills playing college baseball and obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After working in the corporate world in San Francisco for two years, he returned to Los Angeles, attending Southwestern University School of Law. He volunteered and worked throughout law school for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. Upon graduating from law school, he landed a job with the District Attorney's office as a trial prosecutor. He prosecuted and conducted jury trials on all types of cases, such as DUIs, thefts, robberies, embezzlement, firearm violations, gang cases, and murder.
As a criminal defense attorney, he has remained active in professional and community activities, including active membership and specialty trial and DUI training with the National College of DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the California DUI Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Pasadena Bar Association, and the Indigent Criminal Defense Appointments Program. He also coaches and judges trial advocacy teams and competitions in southern California.
It is Mr. Geller's well roundedness that has enabled him to effectively communicate with judges, prosecutors, and juries, and to become a highly successful and aggressive criminal defense attorney. His dedication to his clients and sincere interest injustice is what makes his representation different from other criminal defense attorneys who simply treat their clients like "cases", rather than people.
