Alex Gendzier represents banks, companies, and investors in a broad range of capital markets transactions and advises boards of directors about corporate governance and SEC and stock exchange requirements. He advises on financial strategies and alternatives; recapitalizations and out-of-court restructurings; exchange offers, tender offers, consent solicitations, registered offerings, and private placements of equity; convertible and equity-linked, high-yield, and investment-grade securities; and PIPEs.
Alex has worked with many different kinds of issuers, including multinational corporations, middle market companies, and portfolio companies of private equity investment firms and in many industries, including aerospace, airlines, automotive, banking and finance, biotechnology, consumer products, insurance, manufacturing, shipping, technology, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Alex practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and King & Spalding in New York. Between 1985 and 1991, he worked at Bankers Trust Company and BT Securities Corporation in the senior debt syndications group, leaving as a vice president and team leader.
