ames Michael Ramey is an associate at the Knudsen Law firm. He is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.
James was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in Fullerton, California. In 2000, James won a "best speaker" award at the Junior Statesmen of America convention in Southern California. After graduating high school, James attended California State University, Chico where he was the first ever freshman to be elected treasurer of his fraternity. He transferred to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 2003 and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. While attending the University of Nebraska James made the National Dean's List and was awarded the Aaron Douglas Academic Scholarship from 2004 through 2007. James was also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honors Society.
James attended law school at the University of Nebraska College of law. While in law school he was awarded the prestigious Gross & Welch Best Brief Award in 2009 for the best overall brief in legal writing. He received his Juris Doctorate with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2011.
James first joined the team at the Knudsen Law Firm as a runner prior to entering law school in 2008. Following his first year in law school he started clerking for the firm doing research and writing in a wide variety of cases. Upon being admitted to the Nebraska State Bar Association in September, 2011 James became an associate.
James enjoys hunting, fishing, football, baseball, hockey, boxing, playing golf, auto racing, and spending time with his wife Alexa whom he met in 4th grade. James also has three dogs named Bill, Betty, and Sammy.
