Michael A. Ragsdale joined the firm in 2012. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He received his law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Ragsdale is a Registered Nurse who has practiced nursing for over 25 years in Hawaii. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ragsdale held positions combining his experience in law and medicine. He investigated nursing home complaints for the State of Hawaii as the Long Term Care Ombudsman with the Executive Office on Aging. He also represented nurses in their employment for the Hawaii Nurses Association. Mr. Ragsdale started and was the first director of the Medicare Advocacy Project for the Legal Aid Society in Honolulu. As the director of the Medicare Advocacy Project, he represented Medicare beneficiaries who had been wrongfully denied Medicare benefits. Mr. Ragsdale currently concentrates his practice in medical malpractice and serious personal injury.
