Experience
Matthew W. Deen, Esq. (Matt) joined Kehr Law in March 2012 after several successful years of practice at Teeple Hall, LLP, an asset protection and estate planning boutique firm in the UTC area of San Diego, California. At Kehr Law, Matt's focus is entirely on assisting individual and corporate clients build and protect wealth. He particularly enjoys counseling businesses and entrepreneurs from start-up to exit by integrating sound business advice for their companies with practical asset protection and estate planning strategies to protect their assets. Matt is licensed to practice in the State of California.
Involvement
Matt is a member and Chair-Elect of the San Diego County Bar Association's Business and Corporate Law Section and serves on the Advisory Board of the Business and Corporate Law Section. He is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association's Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Business and Corporate Law Section. Matt is also a member of the American Bar Association and its Estate Planning/Trust section.
In addition to the above professional affiliations, Matt currently volunteers at Outdoor Outreach, a local non-profit organization dedicated to introducing disadvantaged youth to the outdoors.
Education
Matt earned his Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law where he earned an Academic Merit Scholarship for his overall academic performance and American Jurisprudence Awards in his Contracts I and Property II classes. As an undergraduate, Matt earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa where he majored in Marketing.
Personal
Matt is originally from the western suburbs of Chicago. Following college, he relocated to San Diego for the better weather and increased outdoor recreational opportunities as Matt is avid outdoorsman and aspiring mountaineer.
