Russell Garman is employed in the New York office of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP. His practice focuses on developing and implementing life cycle management strategies for life science technologies, in particular pharmaceutical products. He guides clients on how to strengthen their patent portfolios and protect their inventions, as well as advises on how to market their intellectual property.
Dr. Garman also prepares and prosecutes patent applications for life science technologies, such as pharmaceutical formulations, vaccines, gene therapy and gene expression, recombinant cell and protein therapy, immunotherapy, transgenic animals and plants, and food compositions; medical and physical therapy devices; and textiles. In addition, he performs due diligence, freedom-to-operate, and patentability studies on life science products.
Dr. Garman completed his B.S. with honors in Bioengineering at Syracuse University. He then received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University, researching a novel physical stimulus to induce bone formation and prevent bone loss in osteoporotic skeletons. He received his J.D. from Fordham University Law School.
