Quinn, Marianne

An Iowa native, I grew up in southeast Iowa between Keokuk and Fort Madison, Iowa. I attended the University of Iowa graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Juris Doctor from the Law School. During law school, I worked part time as a prosecuting intern at the Johnson County Attorneys’ Office. After graduating from law school, I began clerking for the Phelan Tucker Mullen Walker Tucker and Gelman law firm and soon became an associate working primarily as a litigator in Family Law and Medical Malpractice defense. My practice shifted to employment and business law in the late 1990s as I became involved with the Iowa City Area of Chamber of Commerce, receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award in 1999.

I now have my own practice, work part-time as Of Counsel with Hayes Lorenzen, PLC in 2010, teach at Mount Mercy University as an adjunct professor and update a legal manual on Probate. I have handled a variety of litigation cases, probate matters involving wills, conservatorships and guardianships and business-related matters. I also provide the other litigation attorneys in the firm assistance with personal injury case processing.
