Rebecca represents debtors and other interested parties in bankruptcy, state court receiverships, commercial litigation and out-of-court business reorganizations. She often serves as the receiver for operating and liquidating businesses, as well as in real estate matters. DeMarb has been certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification since 2005.
DeMarb joined Kerkman & Dunn as a partner to open the Madison office of the Milwaukee based firm in May of 2012. Previously, DeMarb practiced at Murphy Desmond in Madison, Wisconsin, in Chicago at large firms and in her own firm in Madison and in her adopted hometown of Evansville, Wisconsin.
DeMarb works diligently to meet the needs of her clients in matters of debtor-creditor law. As a Receiver and in representing other clients, she is hands-on and responsive. Rebecca focuses on bringing diverse interests together to reach acceptable solutions that are cost-effective and make solid business sense. DeMarb brings the polished work-product typically associated with an attorney from a big firm to her streamlined, lean and efficient boutique practice.
Rebecca's skills and knowledge have earned her inclusion on the Wisconsin Super Lawyers list in Debtor-Creditor Rights since 2008 and on the Top 25 Female Attorneys in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers in 2010. In 2012, she was rated AV by Martindale Hubble Peer Review Ratings. In 2012, DeMarb is serving on the Milwaukee Committee for Turnaround Management Association. She has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association for several years.
