Tracey earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University Toledo College of Law in 1997. He began working for Sullivan & Cook in October 1997. After a short time, he was given responsibility for trying both jury and non-jury cases, and he has successfully briefed issues to both state courts of appeals and the Texas Supreme Court. Tracey has twice been awarded the designation of “Rising Star Attorney” by Texas Monthly Magazine, a distinction awarded to approximately 2.5 percent of the best up-and-coming attorneys in the state.
Tracey’s practice consists mainly of commercial litigation and consumer litigation on both sides of the docket. In addition, a significant portion of his practice is devoted to family law matters. Tracey also serves as the firm’s chief technology officer with a mandate to keep the firm on the cutting edge of technology – a must in today’s competitive legal environment.
Tracey is married to Jennifer Gajak, whom he met in law school. They live in Dallas, Texas with their two children, Alexandra and Avery. Tracey’s hobbies include photography, computers and reading. Tracey is also active as an alumni consultant to the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and its housing corporation for the University of North Texas.
