Ms. Gagliano earned her J.D. in 2006 from DePaul University College of Law, where she received her Certificate in Criminal Law. She obtained her B.A. in English, summa cum laude, with honors, from Eastern Illinois University in 2003 and also obtained her B.A. in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Eastern Illinois University in 2003.

Ms. Gagliano was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2006 and admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2007.

Practice Areas: Ms. Gagliano represents clients in all areas of criminal defense and family law, including: Misdemeanor / Felony Defense; Traffic Defense; DUI Defense; Domestic Violence; Expungement / Sealing; Divorce; Parentage; Paternity; Child Custody.

Ms. Gagliano began her legal career in 2003 through an internship with the Coles County Public Defender. Her experiences with the Public Defender's Office lead to her immediate enrollment at the DePaul University College of Law.

During the course of her legal study, Ms. Gagliano gained hands-on experience in death penalty cases through her participation with the DePaul Center for Justice in Capital Cases. Through her work with the clinic, Ms. Gagliano began developing skills in researching case law, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and investigating and canvassing crime scenes and other areas of interest. Additionally, the clinic provided her an opportunity to assist in the defense of former Illinois Gov. George H. Ryan. As a result of her hard work and participation in the death penalty clinic, in 2005 Ms. Gagliano was presented with a CALI Award.

Since earning her law degree, Ms. Gagliano has spent her professional career as a courtroom attorney and litigator, aggressively handling criminal defense and domestic relations matters. She has significant experience in all aspects of litigation, from the discovery phase and interim hearings through trial. A successful negotiator, she leverages her litigation experience to obtain favorable results for clients seeking timely resolution of their matters through tough plea discussions and settlement agreements.

Ms. Gagliano takes the time to work with each of her clients, individually, keeping them fully informed of all aspects of their case. She understands that preparation is the key to success and is necessary to fully represent her client's best interests.
