Erin K. Poppler is a civil litigation attorney at Bassi Edlin Huie & Blum LLP. Erin has a diverse practice focused on complex and business litigation, environmental law, and product liability. Recently, Erin was second chair of a trial team that successfully litigated to verdict a multifaceted environmental CERCLA case. Erin is also uniquely qualified to litigate matters impacting the scaffold, aerial platform, and rental equipment industries. Her qualifications include certification and training in scaffold erection and aerial work platform operation.
Erin's litigation practice is further informed by her work for federal and state court judges at both the trial and appellate level. Erin served as a judicial extern of Judge Carlos Bea of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Justice Thomas Hollenhorst of the California Court of Appeal. Erin also worked in the Civil Law & Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Erin graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Political Science. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, where she was an editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
Erin is admitted to practice before the State Bar of California, the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California, and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Erin also has a demonstrated commitment to pro bono legal work. She is actively involved in the Alameda County Bar Association's Lawyers in the Library Program and the Election Protection Program.
