Attorney Jo Anna Pollock focuses her practice on helping inventors, artists and small businesses develop and maintain equal footing in the marketplace by enforcing their intellectual property rights against companies that infringe those rights. Some of her successes include first-chairing and second-chairing two trials to verdict and obtaining multiple preliminary injunctions that forced defendants to remove infringing products from the market and led to favorable settlements.

Protecting people’s rights is an integral part of Jo Anna’s practice. She has obtained millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of the firm’s intellectual property clients and negotiated several license agreements involving a variety of technologies. Her cases have taken on entire industries, including the financial, telecommunications and electronic voting industries.

Her nationwide practice specializes in claims of copyright, patent, and trademark infringement as well as unfair business practices and violations of the False Marking Statute before the district and appellate courts. She also has experience representing companies in matters of complex commercial litigation and personal injury.

Beyond advocating for clients, Jo Anna serves as an arbitrator through the state court of Illinois and offers free legal representation to children as a guardian ad litem. In the arts, Jo Anna regularly provides pro bono legal representation to low-income and emerging artists, filmmakers and writers by advising them on copyright matters through St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Missouri.
