Robert L. Pomper began his legal career in Chicago where he was the director of litigation for one of Illinois’ largest family law firms. That firm emphasized father’s rights and Mr. Pomper successfully litigated or resolved many complex divorce/custody cases for fathers. Mr. Pomper provided hope and results for many of these fathers who previously felt disenfranchised and intimidated by the apparent gender bias in the legal system.
In many of these father’s rights cases, it was common for fathers to come to Mr. Pomper for a second opinion to review and evaluate their case, especially in situations where it was going very poorly for that client. After a thorough review of the file and listening to the client, Mr. Pomper, while never holding out false hope, often developed a strategy for the client that would begin to turn things around.
In his last postion, Mr. Pomper helped the 23 other practicing attorneys in his firm strategize their cases and formulate a fluid strategy to obtain the best possible results. Mr. Pomper believes the key to success in any family law case is the development of a solid strategy with strong implementation.
Mr. Pomper was born and raised right outside of Chicago and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago. He attended Tulane Law School and graduated near the top of his class.
Mr. Pomper has attended many father’s rights functions and events and has met with Governor Quinn (Illinois) to raise awareness of the importance of fathers in society and in a child’s life.
While representing fathers and helping them navigate a complex legal system is something that Mr. Pomper has enjoyed and feels strongly about, Mr. Pomper has also successfully represented many women and understands many of the issues women and mothers face when going through the stressful process of a divorce.
