Christine M. Frate is a lifelong Maryland resident, currently residing in her hometown of Catonsville. Christine graduated from Towson University in 2007, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in English. She was the first ever participant in a dual-degree law program offered to qualified students between Towson University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. The program offered select students the opportunity to apply to the early admission program at the University of Baltimore School of Law, so long as the student had fulfilled 91 credit units at Towson University, with completion of a major, and had a GPA of 3.50 or higher. Admission was then contingent upon LSAT scores and acceptance by University of Baltimore. Christine was able to meet these requirements at TU in three (3) years, was accepted by UB, and received her J.D.from UB in 2010.
Prior to joining SIEGELLAW in 2012, Christine worked as an associate attorney at a small litigation firm in Baltimore City. Christine worked on numerous personal injury cases, including both major and minor plaintiff automobile and truck accidents. She also sat first and second chair in several trials, at both the state and federal level. Christine also assisted with and litigated numerous federal and state criminal defense matters, including white-collar crimes, major felony drug cases, other drug crimes (possession with intent to distribute, simple possession), handgun/firearm violations, crimes against people, robbery/property crimes (theft, burglary, destruction of property), traffic/alcohol related traffic offenses (DWI/DUI, other incarcerable traffic offenses, suspended license, uninsured vehicle). She has handled numerous complex issues in these cases, including Title III wiretaps, cellular tower location data, Fourth Amendment suppression issues and post-conviction issues. Christine has also assisted in the representation of several federal and state court death penalty cases.
In her spare time, Christine enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking and playing tennis. She also participates in several social sports teams, takes Spanish lessons, and is always cheering on the Ravens and Orioles.
Christine is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Criminal Defense Panel.
