Ryan M. Cunningham is a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A., French studies/government, 1997) and Boston University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2004). While at Boston University, he was an advocate in the Albers honors moot court competition, served as a director of the Esdaile moot court competition, and was named an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar. Prior to law school, he worked as a litigation project assistant at the law firm of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt in Portland, Oregon. He is a member of the Alpha Delta Phi literary society (1994).
In 2012, Ryan was recognized as a "Massachusetts Rising Star", in a list published by a Thomson Reuters rating service in Boston Magazine. Only 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 were selected for the list.
Prior to joining Sally & Fitch LLP, Ryan spent four years as a litigator at Foley Hoag, LLP, with a focus on complex commercial litigation and accountants' professional liability. Ryan is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
