Jack H. Pittman is the senior member of the Hattiesburg law firm of Pittman, Howdeshell, Hinton & Hightower, PLLC. He earned a Bachelor of Public Administration Degree in 1959 and a Juris Doctorate in 1961 from the University of Mississippi. He was admitted to the Bar and to the practice of law in Mississippi in 1961. He is a member of the South Central Mississippi Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. In addition to his general civil practice, Jack H. Pittman has been active in the field of eminent domain law for more than 30 years during which time he has served a special counsel for the Mississippi Transportation Commission, various cities, counties, and utility authorities. He has extensive trial experience in the Special Court of Eminent Domain, all State Courts, Federal District and Appellate Courts. He is a member of the International Right of Way Association and has conducted seminars on State and National levels on the subjects of eminent domain, right-of-way acquisition and endangered species.
