Michael Forrester has been practicing law since 1968. A Westchester County native, he moved to Newburgh in 1969. In 1981 he joined the predecessor of the law firm Silver, Forrester, Schisano, Lesser & Dreyer.
He attended Syracuse University, studied in Florence Italy, and received his Bachelor Degree from New York University, and his law degree from Fordham University. He is a member of the New York State Bar. He is admitted to the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York. He has handled trials in Federal Courts in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Illinois and New Jersey. In addition Michael has argued cases before the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals, the highest Court in New York State.

His area of concentration presently is personal injury, resulting from all types of accidents, which generated millions of dollars to his clients over his 43 year career.
Michael is the former town attorney for the Town of Plattekill and past president of the Newburgh Bar Association. He has served on the board of the McQuade Foundation and the Newburgh Jewish Community Center.
