Mr. Forrester is a founding member of the firm presently constituted as Perrotta, Fraser, Forrester, LLC. He has practiced in a wide range of areas after being admitted to the bar in 1990 having also worked as a law clerk for the Essex County law firm of Lum, Danzis, Drasco, Positan & Kleinberg, LLC.
Mr. Forrester was a member and barrister with the Seton Hall Inn of Court. He has been a member of the American Bar Association; American Bar Association Litigation Section; New Jersey State Bar Association and the Construction Law Section where he assisted in authoring an ICLE program on Public Bidding.
In the area of personal injury litigation, Mr. Forrester was responsible for representation of a paraplegic involved in a construction site accident which resulted in a settlement valued at over $8.5 million dollars, the seventh highest settlement in the state of New Jersey for that year. He is experienced in plaintiffs' medical malpractice litigation, Tort Claims Act litigation, automobile litigation including UM and UIM claims, declaratory judgment actions, workers' compensation; and representation of a police officer in the defense of an excessive use of force and unlawful imprisonment claim pursuant to Section 1983.
Mr. Forrester was recently in the news for major personal injury settlements he achieved for our clients. Mr. Forrester recovered 1.7 million dollars for injuries incurred by a husband and wife seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Forrester also recovered $750,000 for a corrections officer seriously injured in an elevator accident caused by poorly maintained brakes.
Mr. Forrester's experience also includes representation of banking institutions, businesses and individuals in various types of litigation, including transactional work. He was responsible for representation of general contractors in suits against owners for contract balance and retainer with defense of liquidated damage assessments; representation of low bidders and contracting agents in public Contract Law disputes; and bonding companies concerning the interpretation of a liquidated damages provision.
His community involvement includes active membership in the parish of St. Andrew's Church in Bayonne and he is a member of the St. Peter's Preparatory High School Athletic Advisory Board.
Mr. Forrester and his wife, Deborah, are the proud parents of three children, Michael Liam, Kelly Catherine and Riley Danielle.
