Philip, John B.

David serves major corporations, business owners, officers and directors, contractors, sureties, and insurers through all phases of complex civil trials and appeals including agency and partnership disputes; successor liability; commercial transactions; the unauthorized practice of law; account holder liability; fidelity losses; product liability; real estate; catastrophic loss; insurance and surety cases. He handles major construction cases involving non-payment, defective performance, defective design and specifications, take over and completion, damages for delay, cost overruns, and property loss. He has appeared in and tried cases in multiple state and federal courts across the Midwest, and in Arizona, Colorado, and Ohio.

David has extensive jury and nonjury trial experience prosecuting and defending claims, and in resolving disputes for clients, such as national wholesale material distributor in seven states, national fidelity, surety, and title insurance companies, institutional lenders and banks; manufacturer of innovative mower design, Midwest grain elevator, diversified North American construction company, business and project owners, constructors, subcontractors and suppliers, levy districts, individuals, and victims of catastrophic losses.

In addition to his litigation practice, David served on the Missouri Air Conservation Commission for five years (Chair 1996), and as judge for the municipalities of Clayton and Frontenac. David clerked for the Missouri Court of Appeals (Honorable Harold D. Satz and Honorable James D. Clemens).
