Sarah Flotte is a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Group in the Chicago office, focusing on employment counseling and litigation. Ms. Flotte's practice includes defending employers in state and federal litigation, as well as before administrative agencies. Her representative experience includes issues related to: discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee leave, reductions-in-force, employee handbooks and policies, affirmative action, breach of contract, defamation, and covenants not to compete.
During law school, Ms. Flotte received the CALI Awards of Excellence (denoting highest grade) in the following courses: Employment Discrimination Law, Trial Advocacy, Pre-Trial Civil Litigation, and Legal Writing III. She also received Dean's List honors and served as the Vice President of the DePaul University College of Law Appellate Moot Court Society. As a member of the Appellate Moot Court Society, Ms. Flotte represented DePaul University College of Law in the 2007 National First Amendment Moot Court Competition and the 2008 William E. McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court Competition.
