Chris Peterson is the owner of Peterson Law Group, a 4 attorney civil practice law firm based in Bryan-College Station, Texas. He practices primarily in the areas of small business law, corporate law, real estate development, estate planning, probate, and bankruptcy.

Chris grew up in Bryan and graduated from Bryan High in 1989. In 1993, he received a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Political Science and Biblical & Theological Studies. He then obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996.

In addition to being licensed in all Texas courts, he is also licensed to practice in the United States federal courts in the Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and before the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is actively involved in the local community. Chris currently serves as the immediate Past Chairman of the Board of the Research Valley Partnership, Vice President of the Bryan-Brazos County Economic Development Foundation, the Board of Directors of Bryan Texas Utilities, and on the local advisory board for BBVA Compass Bank. He formerly served as President of the Bryan School Board and as President of the Bryan Business Council, in addition to many other civic, nonprofit and church boards.

Besides practicing law, Chris was the founder of AbouTown Press, a local community newsmagazine. He also owns a real estate development company whose most recent project is the development of the new Tony Roma's restaurant in Bryan.

Chris has been married to his college sweetheart, Debbie since 1996. They have 2 kids – Bethany, a freshman at Bryan High School School, and Caleb, a 5th grader at Johnson Elementary.
