Dorothy Flores is a solo practitioner working in the areas of family law and personal injury for 30 years. She has always been a champion of the broken-hearted, the injured, those treated unjustly. It was her father’s constant reminder to do the right thing no matter what it cost her that caused her to have interest in being a lawyer. Many times doing the right thing is helping people who can’t help themselves.

Dorothy was accepted at the University of Arizona on scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, English and Spanish in 1973. She then entered the University of Arizona School of Law, again on scholarship, graduating an honor student.

Her first position as an attorney was with the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C. A year later she accepted an offer from the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund in San Antonio. At MALDEF she litigated in the area of employment discrimination, trained and assisted attorneys in private practice to handle employment discrimination cases. After three years she moved into private practice where she worked in the areas of employment discrimination, family law, personal injury, criminal law and contract law. Eventually she was hired by one of her clients, a corporation whose business was oil refining. Five years later she was hired by the firm Johnson, Curney and Fields focusing on collecting compensation for the injured party and the injured party’s insurance company. Amidst rumblings that the firm would split, Dorothy left and was hired by the Caldarola Law Firm where she represented injured people. The law firm relocated. Dorothy went into private practice a second time and has been there at least twenty years primarily handling family law and personal injury cases.

Dorothy’s motto is: preparation is 90% of the victory. She has seen that happen over and over in her practice. Dorothy provides strategic and effective representation.
