Alexia Peterson received a B.A. degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in 2005. In 2010, she graduated from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law. While in law school, she completed in national trial competitions in Santa Monica, CA and Chicago, IL, was the secretary of the Youth Mentoring Board, a Pro Bono Fellowship Recipient, and an Equal justice Works Americorps Fellowship Recipient. In law school, she also clerked for the Federal Public Defender's office, was a summer associate with Kunz, Plitt, Hyland, Demlong & Kleifield and a Rule 38 Attorney with The Maricopa County Public Defender's Office. Prior to joining The Baker Law Firm, L.L.C., Ms. Peterson worked as a staff attorney for Defenders of Children, a child advocacy organization. While there, she assisted parents and family members of children in abusive situations in modifying custody and parenting time arrangements. Ms. Peterson has also worked for Michael Cordova, P.C.
Ms. Peterson is active in the Phoenix legal community, serving on the State Bar Communications Committee and the executive board of the Arizona Young Lawyer's Division. She is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyer's Association and the Arizona Woman Lawyer's Association
