Amy Fink advises clients on a wide range of general and complex insurance-related litigation issues, including coverage for products liability, environmental, asbestos, intellectual property, construction, products recall, directors and officers, toxic tort, employment practices, workers' compensation, and securities-related claims. She also has an active commercial litigation practice in numerous other areas, including railroad, defamation, eminent domain, shareholder derivative actions, fraud, and unfair business practices. She has represented clients in all stages of federal and state courts litigation.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2011, Amy successfully represented many clients in a variety of matters, including Boeing North America in a federal court action to determine an excess insurer's obligation to indemnify insured for a worker's compensation claim and serving on a team that obtained a favorable settlement and arbitration award for Union Pacific Railroad Company, as successor to Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Company, in an action against an insurer involving applicability of contractual indemnity obligations of railroads for bodily injury, property damage, and deaths resulting from a train collision and subsequent derailment.
Amy is a member of the American Bar Association (co-chair, Fiduciary Duty Subcommittee of the Business Torts Committee), Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Supreme Court Historical Society, and Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
Amy has written and spoken extensively on insurance coverage topics, including insurance issues in the context of M&A and nanotechnology insurance issues.
