Martha Reeves Cook was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Selma, Alabama. Martha received her Bachelor of Arts from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, now Randolph College, in Lynchburg, Virginia, and her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. Martha is admitted to the Alabama State Bar and the Alabama Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama. She is President-Elect of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and a member of the Women's Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. She currently serves as VP of Membership for the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation. Martha practices in the areas of disability insurance law, real estate transactions, bad faith, general civil defense law, and mediation.
