Jeffrey M. Cooper was born in Duncan, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1990. He obtained his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1994. While in law school he received the Jurisprudence Award for legal writing and research. Mr. Cooper was admitted to the bar in 1994 to practice law before the U.S. District Court and Western District Court of Oklahoma.
Mr. Cooper has been helping injured workers at the Oklahoma Workers Compensation Court since 1992. He is a member and past president of Lawyers for Working Oklahomans. Mr. Cooper works very closely with firefighters all over Oklahoma. In 2009, The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled that when a firefighter is disabled that it is presumed to have occurred while performing the firefighter's duties. This ruling has been very helpful to many firefighters that are battling cancer, heart disease or other infectious diseases.
Mr. Cooper has been married for 10 years and has 2 beautiful children. When he is not practicing law he enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
