Dave Collins joined Quinn Johnston in 1991 after serving as a law clerk to Illinois Appellate Court Justices William B. Wombacher (deceased) and John A. Gorman. His practice is concentrated in the defense of personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has significant experience defending claims against municipal entities and claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, including motor vehicle accidents involving trucks. He is often contacted immediately following an accident, asked to respond to the accident, oversee the initial investigation into the accident and handle the case through to conclusion. Dave has defended many cases involving child deaths and traumatic brain injuries, and his counsel is often sought by self-insureds, insurers, third party administrators and other defense attorneys on such cases. He also has substantial appellate experience, handling over 20 cases on appeal before the Illinois Supreme and Appellate courts and personally arguing at least 15 of those cases.
