Kyle graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law of Mercer University in 2003, and holds an undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis on management. Kyle's clerkships during law school allowed him to focus on estate planning and probate law. After law school, Kyle was selected for a judicial law clerk position by the Honorable J. Carlisle Overstreet and the Honorable Carl C. Brown, Jr. in Augusta, Georgia for whom he served for one year before moving to the Solicitor's Office for the First Judicial Circuit in Orangeburg, South Carolina. There, Kyle prosecuted numerous felony cases, where he gained valuable trial experience. He has been with Pope & Hudgens, P.A. since November of 2005.
Kyle's practice centers around the following matters: wills, trusts, other complex estate planning mechanisms, nursing home/Medicaid planning, probate/estate administration, will contests, guardian and conservator proceedings, and other probate/estate related litigation real estate transactions, loan closings, title examinations and insurance, real estate related litigation, business formations and transactions, and business related litigation.
Kyle is also active in the professional community. Kyle is now serving his third term as the President of the Newberry County Bar Association, and his second term as Secretary of the Rotary Club of Newberry. Kyle is also a member of the Elder Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Kyle is originally from Union, SC, and is married to Melissa Whelchel Parker. They have one son, Noah.
