Randy was raised in Anaconda, Montana where he graduated from high school in 1985. He attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management in 1990. That same year, Randy obtained a commercial pilot license and became a certified instrument flight instructor.
After graduation, Randy worked for State Farm Fire and Casualty Company as a Claim Representative handling a variety of complex property damage and liability losses. In 1997, Randy earned a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation upon completion of a rigorous series of insurance exams. Randy then owned and operated an independent adjusting firm where he handled complex losses for multiple insurers. Later, he entered law school, graduating from the University of Montana School of Law in 2003. He joined the firm that same year.
Randy’s practice areas include general negligence, insurance defense, bad faith, workers’ compensation and Indian law. He is admitted to practice before all Montana courts and the United States District Courts for the District of Montana. He is a member of the Western Montana Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Montana, Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association, CPCU Society and the Defense Research Institute.
Randy is married to Angie and they have three active children. Randy enjoys whitewater rafting, downhill skiing and most all other outdoor activities Montana has to offer. He is a volunteer Little League coach and has coached youth basketball in a variety of local leagues.
