Kathleen Clyde began her legal career as Deputy Legal Counsel to the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. She graduated from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) in 2001 and The Ohio State University Moritz College of law in 2008. A graduate of James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville, she is a Portage County native. Ms. Clyde joined the firm in 2010 as an Associate Attorney.
While in law school, Ms. Clyde served as a law clerk in the Ohio Senate, the Ohio Secretary of State's office, and the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law. She was also a Public Service Fellow with the Dean's Highest Honors and an editor of the law review.
Ms. Clyde is currently on the board of directors of Equal Justice Works, a national organization dedicated to encouraging young lawyers to pursue careers in public interest law or public service. She is also a member of the Kent Chamber of Commerce, the Kent Jaycees, the Portage County NAACP, and the Portage County, Ohio, and American Bar Associations.
