Kathy Cleaveland practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and corporate transactions. Her estate planning practice includes basic estate planning (such as will and trust preparation), transfer tax planning with various arrangements to reduce gift, estate and generation-skipping taxes in generational transfers, estate liquidity planning, marital planning, wealth preservation planning and charitable planning. Her estate planning experience also encompasses business succession planning. Her probate experience includes participation and support in various will contests, representation in guardianships and dependent and independent administration of estates and assistance in trust administration. She has also devoted time to a general corporate practice with particular relevant experience in the areas of entity formations and maintenance, business acquisitions, divestitures and mergers and general corporate governance matters.
