Ms. O'Reilly specializes in civil litigation and appellate work. She has a great deal of experience in all kinds of civil appeals, appellate motions and writ proceedings, including two published cases in which she obtained reversals for appellants: Chang v Redding Bank of Commerce (1994) 20 Cal. App. 4th 673 and Sullivan v Dorsa (2005) 128 Cal.App.4th 947.
After graduating from U. C. Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, in 1983, Ms. O'Reilly served as judicial law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, the Hon. Noel Manoukian, from September 1983 to December of 1984. She then worked as an associate at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro in San Francisco in the antitrust group and later at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, doing securities litigation. She also served as adjunct faculty at both Boalt Hall and the Stanford Law School teaching Legal Research, Writing and Appellate Advocacy (Moot Court) full time for several years before resuming her civil litigation and appellate practice at Jack & Keegan, LLP, in San Jose, California. At Jack & Keegan, Ms. O'Reilly developed a particular expertise in law and motion practice, as well as appellate and writ proceedings. Her strong analytical ability and excellent research, oral and written advocacy skills have led to a high level of success in motions, summary adjudications, appeals and writs.
