Elizabeth M. Engh is a partner at Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP with over 30 years of experience practicing law. Her practice specializes in estate planning, trusts and tax issues. Ms. Engh is a certified specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar of California.
A main component of Ms. Engh’s practice involves counseling clients on wealth preservation. In particular, Ms. Engh is a sought after advisor on the transmission of wealth, protection of assets, and estate and gift taxes, as well as the transference of business ownership to multi-generational family members.
Ms. Engh is a frequent lecturer to professional development groups and also engages in addressing the general public regarding estate and tax matters. Additionally, Ms. Engh lectures annually for the Continuing Education of the Bar on ongoing legal changes respecting estate planning. Ms. Engh has been chair of the Alameda County Bar’s Estate Planning Section and an active participant in the State Bar’s Estate Planning Section.
Before joining Donahue Gallagher Woods in March of 2012, Ms. Engh was a partner at Wendel Rosen Black and Dean, and prior to its merge with Wendel Rosen, a partner at Aiken, Kramer & Cummings.
Ms. Engh earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (J.D., 1977). She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A. 1973).
