Mimi is a graduate from the University of California at Berkeley and holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology &; Endocrinology and a B.A. in Physiology. Prior to law school, Ms. Chiang was an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California where her research included the development and testing of delivery vectors for gene therapy based therapeutics as well as the design of in vivo model systems for testing novel therapeutics. Her postdoctoral fellowship was conducted at the University of California, San Francisco in the area of molecular and reproductive immunology where her research focused on genetic association studies aimed at identifying immunological markers correlative with gestational diseases. Ms. Chiang has significant technical expertise in areas ranging from fundamental research applying complex molecular biological approaches to human pre-clinical trials studies using animal model systems.
Ms. Chiang's legal publications include ""Defendant Dolly's Opposition Reply to Plaintiff's Motion for Summary Judgment,' and ""Defendant Dolly's Motion for Summary Judgment: Memorandum of Points and authorities in Support Thereof,' Loyola Law Review, 2001. She has also published extensively in scientific journals.
