A member of the firm's Business Litigation and Corporate Services Division, Ken focuses his practice on complex business disputes, representing clients in state and federal courts across the country. He has prevailed in all stages of litigation, including motions practice and trial, having obtained successful verdicts in Florida, Maryland and Massachusetts courts. Ken has tried over 40 cases to verdict.
Ken has significant commercial litigation experience with a focus on business torts, securities matters and insurance cases. As counsel to large and mid-sized businesses, Ken handles all aspects of high stakes litigation from inception to resolution. Ken also provides strategic counseling to publicly traded and privately held companies on a wide range of business and commercial issues. In bankruptcy matters, Ken represents both creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 reorganizations.
Before joining Shook, Hardy & Bacon, Ken was a litigator in the Washington, D.C., office of a national firm. Ken was also formerly an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, where he focused on major crimes and prosecuted career criminals in Miami's Circuit Courts. He obtained guilty verdicts as first chair in murder, armed robbery and narcotics trafficking jury trials. Ken was selected as special counsel in the prosecution of executive assignments by the Florida Governor's Office. Before attending law school, Ken worked in the cash and liquidity management division of a major financial services firm in Boston.
