Rory Ellinger, the founding member of Ellinger & Associates, P.C. graduated in 1963 with a B.A. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and in 1968 with a M.A. from the same university. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1963 from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Mr. Ellinger was admitted to the Missouri bar in 1979 and the U.S. District Court, Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri and U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit in 1989. He is a member of the St. Charles County Bar Association where he chairs the Forum for Continuing Legal Education, the Missouri Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Other memberships include Omercon Delta Kappa and Delta Theta Phi.
Mr. Ellinger was a member of the University City School Board from 1991 until 2000. The Missouri Attorney General appointed him to the Board of Missouri Foundation for Health.
Mr. Ellinger is the author of Treatment Alternatives-Delinquency, Chapter 16, CLE Handbook, Juvenile Law, The Missouri Bar (1985 - updates 1988, 1995), The Role of the Attorney, CLE Handbook, Handicapped, Elderly and Low Income Persons Law, The Missouri Bar (1982- update 1984), Poverty in Missouri, with Linda Locke for the Missouri Association for Social Welfare, reprinted in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1983), A Survey of Missouri Jails, Missouri Association for Social Welfare (1974), and The Missouri Public Defender System , The Citizen's Voice (1974).
